Create a deck
Go to Decks and click New deck. Tell Flo who you are pitching and what you are selling, answer its follow-up questions, and click Create deck. The deck opens in the editor and Flo drafts the first version from your workspace.
Start a deck from Decks
- In the sidebar, click Decks, then New deck.
- Describe the pitch, for example “a jersey patch package for a regional credit union.” Flo asks a few follow-up questions; click a suggested answer or type your own.
- Optionally, add venue photos, logos, or a PDF or PPTX sample deck (up to five files, 50MB each). They are saved to Files and used on the first draft.
- When the summary card shows the deck’s title and who it is for, click Create deck. To change something first, click Back to chat.
The editor opens and the first draft builds on screen. The switch at the top of the sheet controls whether Flo uses what you told SponsorFlo about your organization during setup; turn it off and Flo asks for those details instead.
A new deck uses 5 AI credits and each AI edit you ask for in Chat uses 1. Edits you make yourself on the slides are free, and a draft that fails returns its credits. The chat header shows your balance; see Plans and pricing.
Start a deck for a specific company
On a company’s page, click Create proposal. The New deck form opens with that company already picked, so the deck is linked to it and Flo drafts with the company’s details, like its industry and website. Pick one of the company’s open deals, or leave it on No deal yet; sending the deck then opens a deal at the Proposal stage.
Add a short brief if you want to steer the draft, such as which package you are pitching. Leave it blank and Flo drafts a standard pitch from your brand and the company’s details.
Choose a free-form or structured deck
The New deck form you reach from a company page asks for a Deck type. Free-form gives Flo full design freedom; structured uses fixed layouts that are checked before you send.
| Deck type | How it works | Pick it when |
|---|---|---|
| Free-form | Flo designs every slide. Start from Blank starter or one of your saved templates. | You want the most creative layout and will check the facts yourself. |
| Structured | Pick a deck type under What kind of deck? and a Look. Slides use proven layouts in your brand colors. | You want every number sourced and checked before the deck goes out. |
Structured deck types are New sponsor pitch, Renewal, Event or festival, Nonprofit or cause, and a Five-slide teaser. A structured deck drafts from your workspace facts, so it needs a company or a brief.
To see what each type looks like before you start, browse the sample decks by property type. Each one shows every slide and which slides to leave out.
Reuse a deck as a template
In any open deck, click Templates → Save as template. Saved templates appear under Start from when you create a free-form deck from a company page. To apply one to a deck that is already open, click Templates → Apply template…; it replaces the current slides, and Undo brings them back.
Note: On a trial, you can create one deck. Upgrade to create more.
